found a 928 with a 8 out of 10 body for 500$. Engine is unmolested right down to the air intake tubes and air b ox straps. The interior is gutted and poor but all there in boxes and it has color matched cookie cutter wheels. It's being sold in non running condition, but that's how I bought my first one and this looks better on the outside.
Hit or no?
really bad rear gear ratios, needs a big block and it would be just fine.

manual or auto, and does "not running" mean they didnt change the timing belt in time and introduced the valves to the pistons?
any 928 for five bens is a great deal regardless, i picked one up a couple years ago (82' auto with chrome trash cans and s4 spoiler) for that and sold it a month later for almost 4x that, with a known bad head gasket, after putting a bit of work into it.
hard to lose on a 28 for that price, only question is , is it what you want to build...
Since selling my 82, 4 years ago I've always thought about building one for the challenge. It's an aitobox, but 80% sold in the US were so that's "normal" in a sense.
If you can believe it, it's from a small used car dealer, he said he bought the dealership and it was on the lot in the back and has no idea why it doesn't run. The interior is gutted and the gray spagehtti wiring from the fusebox is all over the place. There's also a fuel pump inm a b ox on the back floor, I asked about the t belt upfront and he didn't know about it.
I'm thinking of going back there today and bringing along a few hand tools to check the belt. Just need to convince the wife to let me take over more driveway real estate a little sooner than she expected.
