Automakers have offered some strange vehicles or strange options over the years. Things like the Nissan pulsar wagon, the Berreta hatchback, and Vehicross seem like very weird cars to sell. What's the strangest vehicle or option package today? I'll start off with the Small Ford Transit Wagon. I don't think its a bad vehicle at all just weird. The transit seems like a great work van.. And they also build it as a wagon.
That's easy. Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet Crossover
OK... So battle for second.
My vote for second goes for the little mini 2 seater coupé thing. I just don't get it. Did someone say I'd like a mini but they are just way too big.....
The Juke is awesome, it looks like a spider from the front.
The Toyota Camry. It's really strange that so many people want something so bland!
The Veloster is pretty weird with the two doors on one side and one on the other. You don't really notice it when they're driving around, but it's a strange engineering/design decision.
Are they reversed in right hand drive countries?

The Accord crosstour. I don't get it. You want an accord, but you want a truck?

Especially when you consider that, for a while, it was the SECOND MOST EXPENSIVE CAR NISSAN SOLD IN NORTH AMERICA, behind the GTR. I'm told that they are heavily discounted now.
In reply to nocones:
I think the Isuzu Vehicross was a great idea about 10 years ahead of its time, and terribly marketed. A few tweaks and it could have the affordable Range Rover.
I can think of quite a few stupid vehicles, a few have already been mentioned, but stupid doesn't automatically equal weird & vise versa.
I nominate the BMW X6, stupid, weird and useless.
I too nominate the X6 and I helped launch it.
Dumb
I vote the Porsche Panamera. No matter how it drives, handles, or feels from the inside, it just doesn't say Porsche to me. If anyone told any of us, 20 years ago, that Porsche was going to make a sedan we would have all laughed.
Chevy Cruze manual diesel. I hate it that I kind of want one.
I didnt think you could get manual + diesel
I will nominate the 3-series GranTurismo.
They make a sports wagon, yet they feel the need to make a hatchback too? The car is too large and the design isn't beautiful enough to be a great idea.

You forgot 4850 lb tow rating. Which is the highest for a car sold in North America.
^ Because giant porsche brakes
Another vote for the Murano Cabrio. That thing is pathetisadugly.

Btw, I'll go with BMW X6 and/or Acura ZDX, which are pretty much the stupidest, most pointless, and least attractive large-ish vehicles on the market today.
It's like some oddly-proportioned Honda CR-Z with giant wheels on it and a lift kit. But less headroom.
The Bimmer and Porsche look the same. Both bad.
