I have an old HF aluminum jack. I stripped one of the splined pivot points for the yoke into which the jack handle is inserted: one of the holes in the aluminum chassis piece stripped when I tightened the screw to pull it into the hole (don't ask why I took the damn thing apart...).

Google says Loctite 660, which I've never heard of, for spline repair. Thumbs up? Down? Or is this stuff no different than JB Weld?

Some other method?

Can you give us some pics?  That would help me picture the problem.
