So I am messing around with my carb and I can't dial out a portion. Long story short I'm going back to the basics and checking everything, right now I am on the regulator:

I have this regulator installed on the rx7 (13301), right now I do not have that vacuum ported hooked up to anything, should I? Or is it only for boosted applications because that is for the fuel pressure to rise when it senses boost.

if I remember correctly that fuel pressure regulator should reduce the fuel pressure at vacuum as well as increase it at boost. The idea being if 40psi is required, and there is 10psi of vacuum in the manifold, then you deliver 30psi at your injector.

same with boost: if 40psi desired, with 10psi manifold pressure, then your injector needs 50psi.

anyhoo, did you mean to say "messing with my carb" in your post? If your using this on a carburetor (5-8psi) then no vac line needed, but I would question whether or not you needed the regulator.

No vacuum line needed and you only want 2-4 psi at the carb but you may or may not be able to adjust that unit low enough there's a EFI and a CARB model the difference is in the spring preload and rate under the adjustment screw.
