Looks like a plain BRZ is a little North of $33k...if these wind up kissing $40k, I don't see the value proposition
Is it much different than the previous TS? Wagner in Fairborn OH had one at $50K+ back around 2019 at 2019 dollars.

It's interesting that the GR86 performance package gets sachs dampers where the BRZ just gets retuned stock dampers...maybe there's some truth to the rumors about the two models' development going seperate ways in the future. Not that the sachs dampers are necessarily better, just different.

By fifteen years old they'll have gotten to the point where replacing the oil starved engine is expensive enough that it totals out the car so most of them will have been scrapped and the few remaining will be rare and therefore too expensive for this crowd.

Used ones are still selling above msrp at carmax...they're going to be selling every one they make for a while.

In the US aftermarket, you knew them as Tokico.
I expected "performance oriented" to mean they added a mic to the engine compartment so they could pump engine sounds through the stereo while driving. also more stickers.

It's already got an electronic noisemaker that simulates engine sounds. Easily unplugged, fortunately.

I just let the dealer turn it off when they did first oil change. It's strange that you can access almost every other option on the car through the headunit, like turning off the steering-responsive headlights, but not the fake noise.
The first gen had a physical tube that connected the intake to the cabin to pump in engine noise.
