so for some sick reason it decided to snow today. i was driving to work and i saw a guy driving a small subaru justy 4wd. that got me thinking and so i did a google search to see what could be done to those little cars. i found this. i think that it fits in with the whole grass root thinking. any way if you don't read french some of the post are translated, but for the most part the pictures do the talking.
mad little engine
That's what the berkeley I'm talkin bout gat dammit.
Good lord.
What I want to know is, why haven't one of you loons done this already to some poor unsuspecting car?
That thread is full of win.
Win in a can.
Wininacan!
that is what I call a wholeassed approach.
FWIW, Subaru ran a full-race, turbocharged Justy 4WD at Pikes Peak back in 1987 (might have been 1988, but I think '87). The engine was so small it looked like a briefcase with a tiny turbo hung on the side. The driver looked like a little accountant, with black-rimmed glasses - but he never lifted for the corners I was watching, and had the little thing plenty sideways! No threat to Walter Rohrl's times in the factory Sport Quattro, but a decidedly cool little car!
that is cool, you sound like you were there.

Marc Osgood and the Clemson Klan have done this in more than one car:

I was planning something similar for my Challenge 924. Wouldn't fit in the budget and would have been too complicated to work out before the event. Maybe next year.
gawdamightydam. Wow. That guy pees out more ambition than I was born with. I hope he leaves the car that factory color.
holywhatthebajeezus!?!?!
with all that boost, hes gonna have to retard the timing to FTMFW* before top dead center
