I concur with this! My 72 Super was a snow beast. Too bad about the heat though...
Beetle were good going strait in the snow, they just didn't steer very well.
On a slippery road they would push like hell. You couldn't brake, it made things worse. A quick down shift was the only help when slowing down.
I learned this In a 65 mile commute on NYS secondary roads one whole winter.
Heat isn't bad as long a the heater box's and channels are in good shape.
