I've spent a decent amount of time in a top-trim fwd Kizashi. I think i've said this here before, but the car i came away comparing it with was a TSX. Which I dont particularly love, but admit is a very good car.

I think they're GREAT looking on the outside with the nicest factory 18" wheels, and pretty dang decent on the inside, and dynamically above average.

BIL and SIL have one (don't know what year) and they are having an issue with the starter. They took it to a dealer that used to sell Suzuki's and had it looked at by a factory tech and it would be over $1k to fix it. Should they take it somewhere else to get a second opinion or dump it and don't look back? Car is driven maybe 5k years if that.

Like most Japanese built imports, parts are expensive. But a starter is no reason to trash a car. Looks like Rockauto has them for ~$200. NAPA has them for about $400. OE was around $500. Same as a TSX. No reason a reputable shop can't install a starter on a FWD import.
