What I really need is to mount a tablet like so:
Except, it needs to be mounted to the steering column cover, and not the actually column. I’m open to ideas, whether that be with Velcro, tape, zip ties, lunch meat, glue, human residue, etc.
im also open to mounting it in a different location, as long as it doesn’t obstruct my windshield.
+1 if the iPad mini can be removed without fighting it like a hobo over a one hitter.

How can you pass up that first picture? Lap times guaranteed with that setup.
You can adapt the AIM SOLO mount to a tablet. With a huge hose clamp you can then attach it to a steering column.
