About a week ago I backed into my Dad's work truck, and cracked my driver's rear taillight. To avoid the fuzz, I've been driving my wife's escape. Well I decided to fix it today. Luckily, this thing has a clear lens under the red lens, so I decided I would take some new red nite shades and paint my clear lens red!

This is what I started with:

I removed the taillight, and masked off the turn signal at the bottom which would remain clear.

Then I followed instructions: Clean surface, apply three light coats with 15 minutes drying time, and allow 30 minutes to cure in the sunlight.

I've never painted anything with any masking before, so this was a moment of truth!

No overspray! I was proud of myself. So time to mount on the car.

All in all, I think it turned out awesome. At dark, it lights up a little pink, but other than that, I spent all of $10 on it, which is much better than $35 plus S&H. No local JY's have this body sentra, and I needed it done kinda quick. I still need a bumper cover, as this one is hanging on by a thread. I may go through some turn signal bulbs, since this one is now exposed to the elements, but it should be easy enough to change now.

This stuff works great, I wanna break the other one so I can paint it. If I had a track rat or Challenge car, it would so have red headlights.
