this may have been a first for GRM

The board might be Enablers Anonymous, but we're frugal enablers. If it was $800 he would have already been talked into it and pics demanded of it in his driveway. For $8000 everybody was watching his back.
Wow, never thought I'd see the day GRM would suggest NOT buying a car.
$8k for a 1986? It's not exactly an f40. Although Car and Driver did name it to their top 10 list for 1986, right up there with the 1986 Mercury Sable, Honda Accord, and Lincoln Mark VII.
I think it is the 87 1/2 or 88 that got the updated front suspension that was not so prone to shaking and shimmying?
sight unseen I'd say it'd fetch 5k here, being that it IS a turbo model. the na ones fetch 3-4k usually
I haven't looked at the first page of the thread so I have no idea what you are looking at. So with that much insight, I say buy or you will always regret it. Also be sure to tell your wife that if you don't buy this one then you will never be complete or something sappy like that.
Good luck and if it turns out bad then you made the wrong decision.

You should look at the first page...
In reply to Karl La Follette:
That last one is pretty fantastic, "THIS IS A GOOD CAR" and it doesn't run and "NEEDS BREAKS" and the interior looks shot and the body looks rough. "GOOD" indeed.
