Honestly after looking around a bit more on the web site, I think I'd actually be more interested in the Focus or Hayabusa based builds, obviously a bigger investment though.

Im the owner of the v8 exocet.
i wanted to be able to give you guys the opinion of someone with a decent amount of experience on track (in Japan....fuji, mobara , ra, nikko, ebisu, sly) and some us drift and autox days. for instance this track i had a faster time than an r6, while in a twin turbo subaru legacy wagon. and on the heels of a ducati as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZok1uBHLXY&list=UUD2u4ENA-8584z1isJHv_fg&index=9&feature=plcp
i am by no means an engineer. all my theories and testing i do outside of computers. i built my exocet from my monster Miata
my thoughts are this. the whole kit is what....6k? you can get pieces like i did for cheaper . sure it may not be as stiff as an atom, or whatever other kit car . bit i built a 300hp built car for a realistic 15k. if i went out and bought a miata, parted it and built a v8 etc etc again, 15k was my cost. for 12k i could be at 220ish with a turbo. this includes suspension, tires, wheels, etc et .
my miata had a hard dog bolt in spec miata cage, stitch welded, fender braces, flyn miata rails, 12k8k springrates, isc tophats and other fun stuff.
the exocet in stock form will not compare. even over speedbumps there is noticeable increase in flex. but you are comparing apples to oranges. a stock miata with just a rollbar is sloppy also. add the front half and it tightens up. gotta keep apples to apples. if i did a few tweeks and did a fill cage like i will be, it will make a huge difference. but the point is, i was VERY happy with it first time out. for the money, there isn't a car you can buy that is more fun. for the racers, this chassis is so easily modified its like legs. i had to make a few firewall changes and it was good to go in the v8.
for the price of the kit, ill take a little less perfection and if i feel the need add more later. there is nothing that can compete with it as is. in the same price range.
