I'm sure it's flood damaged, and the fact that the "hood is stuck" makes me wonder if there's even an engine in there. Still though, would make a fun track toy if you didn't care about a salvage title. I always wanted one of these in high school....

Estimated pre-damage value: $18,318
Riiiiiiiiggggghhhhhhhhtttttt
Its predamaged value is a pathetic 5-7k considering it is a typhoon with over 100k miles.....its worth about 3k now, nothing if it is flood damaged.
I saw that estimate, and even with not knowing a whole lot about these trucks, figured that was a stretch. A large, imaginative stretch.
Maybe they think there's $15,000 in cash jamming up the hood latch.
Considering the car, I might think that there is about $15k in Cocaine under the tire from the mid 90s drug dealer that had it last.
I find it funny that a $1100 bid becomes a $1700 bid after fees etc.
I bid once on this site on a '77 Super Beetle convertible that was in realtively good shape for a small restoration and weekend runner. I was going to pick up for my mom and dad to keep at their beach house and as a 70th bday present for my dad. I quickly realized the level of fees was only rivaled by their level of shadiness.
Also, 90% of the cars in NY/PA/NJ listings on that site are Sandy victims. I'm sure most folks realize that, but that includes both fresh and salt water, depending on the locale.
Even at 2k you could part it out and make a profit. The body cladding goes for big bucks. Truck looks clean, but yeah, flood, and they always look good in pictures. 18K pre flood? No.
I'd take that and swap in my C4's engine. That would be a perfect combo
How did these things handle/drive? Anyone ever have one. I always liked them until the interior. I had several friends with the regular S10's Jimmy/Blazer set ups and I fondly recall how their interiors would just disintegrate around us.

Why bother? You could make as much power off the sy/ty v6.......

Funny unrelated story, there was $500 in cash stuffed in the sunvisor of a $200 Jeep I once owned...

but if the the engine is toast, this would be cheaper and easier.

Bob meant to say he'd swap the Sy/Ty engine into his C4, which would of course be, the ultimate combo.
