Dude, if you find any let me know. It's not too prevalent down here, and I've never figured out why.
I googled searched and found a few texas scca boards but the forums suck. The links to the texas rallycross forum takes you somewhere else.
How about a decent texas scca message board.
check the main scca site for info on the local chapter, or look at nasa for info on if they have anything in the area. thats my two cents.

That's the latest i know..
Taylor Rotorsports is like in way southeast austin.. I would look them up and just call them for the real info. In fact, if you have an excuse to go down there, the guy who owns it is great to talk to.
Sadly though i think you'll have to get used to the fact that there's not much rallycross going on in Tx. As far as i know there is one annual event in the NE part of the state somewhere and very rarely one will pop up in central texas.
the local austin autox club, texas spokes put on a few rallycrosses a few years back, but i haven't lived there in three years, so i dunno whats going on now.
How would you guys feel about a wheel to wheel rallycross series here in Texas? This is not just some idea by me and some buddies. This is something that is actually being considered by a race track owner here in Texas working with a race promoter in Texas.
Think ChumpCar or 24 Hours of LeMons meets the dirt, without the gimmicks. It would consist of a course half asphalt and half dirt on a roadcourse type of configuration. There would be a value limit on the cars that would be easily understood by all and cars would be classed accordingly (2WD and AWD).
The races would consist of several sprint races or maybe even an enduro. Teams would consist of 2-4 drivers to help spread the cost of your build and entry fees. What do you guys think?
Things have moved somewhat since last year. Check out Rally Texas on facebook. Its a 14 or 16 acre property in Maxwell, Tx that a rallycross course is being built on. I would say it's about 30 minutes from Austin.
It's a work in progress but i have been around the course (the part of it that's drivable) and it IS going to be cool.
The hope was to host events sometime this fall. I dont know what chance there is of that but it WILL host events sometime in the near future.

There was someone on this very forum a few months ago floating the same idea. There was even a website and rules. If I remember later, I'll look for it with el Goog.

I'm aware of who that person is and it never got off the ground. The people looking into this actually have the means to make it happen.
