Chris Forsberg, Formula Drift competitor from day one and one of only two 3-time Formula Drift champions, needed a new demo car for events like Gridlife to replace his old Infiniti M56 and has constructed what is easily the most badass Nissan Altima ever. Sure, it's a tube chassis car, and the engine is from a GT-R, and it's RWD converted, but it still is instantly recognizable as a Nissan Altima. And with 1300hp currently (another 700hp on tap) from a stroked VR38DETT, a sequential gearbox, ultra-low ride height, huge rear wing, 4 race seats with harnesses, those DTM-inspired looks, and custom Rotiform wheels, it's one baaaad machine. It also sounds absolutely ridiculous, and I usually hate how R35 GT-Rs sound.
Now, if only Nissan could manage to put like 20% of that attitude into a production line Altima.
It looks kind of like a Nissan version of a STCC touring car.
Which is to say, I like it.
No, Nissan is back. They let us know last week
Remember when driving was fun?????

In reply to Datsun310Guy :
I heard their radio ad the other day about how "Cars should be engaging to drive" and had to laugh. Pretty rich coming from the company cramming CVTs in everything.

This is a full tube frame car. On Hoonigan they said the only actual Altima parts here are hood, front bumper, and front fenders (although those have been massively modified).
kinda hard for me to "respect" something that was just another tube frame chassis. Take a unibody Altima and stuff a gtr drivetrain in it. Then I'll tip my hat.
Otherwise this thing could be a GTR powered Mini, food truck, beetle, moon rover, helicopter, skyscraper, hotdog wiener mobile, etc.

Oh, and the other thing I found hilarious is that they set the engine super far back...riiiiight against the firewall. You built a tube frame car and couldn't make room for it? I couldn't stop lol'ing.
