So after all the searching and debating, my new-to-me car is finally here. I should probably be arrested for larceny. I stole this thing.
2013 FoST, fully loaded ST3 package plus factory sunroof. 17k miles, clean history. Dealer put brand new tires on it. My out the door price (not including state tax)... $16,900. It was a deal I just couldn't pass up. To me, it was the best solution for all my needs. The price I got it for was about what I'd have paid for a FiST, and the FoST is bigger, faster and a better highway cruiser. This one didn't go into original service until April 2014, so it's still got a good amount left on the bumper to bumper warranty, and a ton on the powertrain.
I already ordered a set of Husky floor liners, as I'll be transporting my kids from sports practice. Also ordered the Ford Racing ECU tune. It will keep my warranty in tact as long as I have a Ford dealer install it. Adds only about 5-10hp, but adds 90lb-ft tq. Can't wait to have it installed!!

Plus you got it in the best color that they offer.

Nice! I've enjoyed following along with the many twists and turns of your journey. I have to ask though, what made you change your mind about turbo/direct injection cars?
Wow, that does seem like an exceptional price.

It's still a concern. But when I looked at naturally aspirated, port injected cars out there in the price range I wanted to spend, the choices were really limited. The one true contender in that category was the G37. But it was a sedan...I can live with that, but prefer hatch...manuals were very hard to find, mpg was significantly worse, and at my price point I'd get a 2011 with 35-50k miles. My FoST will have a powertrain warranty for a few years, which is comforting. Yes, I'll likely have to do carbon cleaning at some point, but I'll budget for it. Hopefully as long as I keep fresh oil in it and take care of it, the turbo will last as long as I own the car. Even cars I really like I tend to only keep 3-4 years as I like to get something different. At that point, this car will have 90-110k miles on it.
What a great looking color! I love it!!
Well, that's a damned good price. Makes me unhappy for the trade in value I will get in the future.
Probably check if the rear motor mount was changed out, otherwise you will get wheel hop any time you hit the gas hard.
Damn that's awesome! I love it. Sell it to me for cheap when it has 200k miles on it. ;-)

Great deal!!! I would have pounced on that too!
And I'm off to autotrader and cargurus...again.
Nice looking car, congrats!
Was out for a drive in the Camaro Sunday afternoon and ended up chasing one of these down on a back road and playing cat and mouse for a while. They're quick!
