There was actually a limited run of Miatas done by Mazda overseas with that livery.

I keep seeing pictures of the #62 car everywhere, but with so many misconceptions on the internet and people calling everything IMSA cars, it's hard to tell what this car was actually doing. What i'm trying to figure out is what point there was to the IMSA MX6s, since i BELIEVE the RX7s were being raced at the same time, and possibly in the same class.

RX7 was in the GTO class. It's a 4-rotor.

So there weren't any GTU RX7s during the GTU MX6 time frame? The previous GTU RX7s were the 1st gen dealies prior to the MX6?

That would make more sense.

I am pretty sure I might have some road&ster mags with more pics of that white NA.

I have an old Japanese Roadster mods book somewhere that might have pics too. I need to dig it up though.

Also lol that's my photo of the GTO FC.

Looking for best/aesthetically pleasing design first and foremost, but am also placing importance on ease of replication in the real world. Cars that competed in these series only. GT300, GT500, whatever. Other Japanese series/cars are welcome (JTCC/FIA). Would prefer nothing older than the 80s, up to the present is fine. Soo... have at it! Argue away. Here's some Japanese livery porn to start!

Good luck finding a decent sport coupe chassis... the rest should be easy enough.....

Heh the funny thing is, I ran across that site the other day looking for info on the old GTU MX6s. Made me want to do a livery on my MX6 as well.

It seems like the JGTC Supras look good no matter which livery!

I tend to like the bold colors in simple patterns:
