I have never personally encountered any group of people operating transportation devicds in a convoy type situation on public streets that are considerate of other vehicle operators. Motorcycles, cars, buses, truckers, cyclists all manage to block other drivers, run red lights, cut people off, and generally tend to work in a pack mentality of pushing boundaries they wouldn't individually in order to keep the group together.

I am not discrediting some of the good they do with charity rides/rallies or some of the honor ride stuff (that said I attended a funeral where they showed up and I'm not sure what exactly is respectful about having 80 sets of open pipes in a cemetery) but groups of any kind are fundamentally inconsiderate to others.

I've meet loads of great motorcyclists before who will stop to help people and generally be great to be around. Some of them where the worst in group rides though.

This, yeah, same here. The one time I went on a group ride I really felt like I would have been a lot happier, and safer, alone. This part of the world doesn't offer great riding spaces anyway so group rides don't make a lot of sense to me.
