This is NOT a budget question.

Have people ever shared sticky tires during the event? I am scraping the barrel if I make it to the Challenge this year with the oily Accord. If I do, having a bud with sticky tires on Miata (or thereabouts) wheels to share would be superb. I'd even be willing to pay real money for them. Does this happen?

Why not? The only "interesting" thing would be the concourse.

Good idea, but I didn't think Miata wheels (4x100) had the same bolt pattern as an Accord (4x114.3), no?

It's 4x100, and I am pretty sure the backspacing is spot on.

If you can fit 15x10 with 6.25" backspacing with 275 Hoosiers I may be able to help out.

Sounds tasty. Selling them?

What year Accord? Every one I've owned has been 114.3, which is not the same as my Civic's and CRX's, which are the same as the Miata.

Thanks! But I think that's a smidge too wide. Something like 205 is the rough max without rolling the fenders.

In reply to MrJoshua:

No, but I should have plenty of room in my budget for an extra set for concours if you wanted to borrow them and agree upon a FMV.

FYI - anyone running 13x7 or 13x9 wheels, I generally have takeoff Hoosier bias ply slicks for free, but I won't ship them. Period.

I could use those for the hillclimb car, but it's not challenge related

I have 205/55 R15s on mine, and there's plenty of room left over. A 225 will fit with ease, especially if you aren't planning on lowering it.

ok, 205-225 then.

Basically, this thread is now "Does anyone have any 15" autocross tires in a 205-225 width on a 4x100 wheel they would be willing to lend to me during the Challenge, which I would be willing to compensate with actual dollars?"

I also have some 15x7 35 offset that I could bring with 205 kuhmo xs tires from my $2013 challenge Miata.

Tires are free, but you would need to take a FMV hit for the wheels themselves.

I have a set of 205/50R15 Kuhmo Ecsta XS tires. They're on 15×6.5" wheels with 4×100 and 4×something bigger (115?) holes and something like a 38 offset that I'll be using on my BMW this year. The wheels are in my budget for $140. You're welcome to share them, no cost to you.

I've got V710's mounted on 15's we will have as spares.

They are staggered sizes- 205 front, 225 rear. Or reverse them, if you prefer.

I'll loan them.

Sweet, so it sounds like it's easy, has been done, and I have three likely candidates. Excellent.

Thanks guys. I'll keep you all posted as we near the Challenge.
