This one is for old heavy trucks.
This jewel is just a few miles from me....
Price seems high (thankfully), and I have got to get the Vanette finished first......

My home town has a Fire Museum that houses a bunch of old fire engines. They have one with the big chrome dome on the engine. It looks so awesome. The museum was up the street from my parents' house, and they would always take that one out and flog on it on nice days. I would hang out outside and watch them gassing that beast up and down my street.
Strangely enough, there is an old American LaFrance factory in my present town right up the street from my house.

Everybody likes that thing. It's an Ahrens Fox piston pumper. I believe that they only made two with the closed cab in 1939.
The city brought it out of retirement in 1975 when the BF Goodrich plant was fire bombed. I'm told that it pumped for four straight days and they were refueling it on scene.

with the long hood, short rear it rather looks like the Pony car of fire engines!
