I watched a youtube video a while back about the early Honda CVT used in the Insight. I had never rebuilt one or even opened one back when i worked in a transmission shop, but after seeing the insides on video i would not be afraid to open one up and rebuild it myself. There's actually much LESS to it than there would be in a typical planetary-based auto.
