Both races were fun to watch. Cup race, if you didn't watch, go find the last ten laps on Youtube and then come back, because spoiler.
The kid sure handled the pressure, only making one mistake, really, on the last lap. Truex had made a mistake a bit earlier, which let Chase survive his error. Truex looked and sounded absolutely worn out after the race, ran out of gas coming out of the carousel and still coasted home second, Kyle sure mde use of the extra two laps of gas he had, and was gracious after the race, and one of those super cool moments when Jimmie Johnson pushed Chase back to the front straight after he ran out of gas on the cooldown. One of those "Passing of the torch" or "Team Mentor" things. I really enjoyed that race.
The Saturday race was cool, as well. I know stock cars are not "real" road race cars, but they can put on some really good races anyway.
The last few laps of the Cup race were great fun. Love the fact that you can see the guys getting the cars sideways when they are really going for it.
I enjoyed both races. Seeing those things flopping around in the wet on Saturday was entertaining. And yeah, at times the level of intensity on Sunday is so much better than what happens on ovals. Wish they'd add a few more road courses...looking forward to seeing Charlotte coming up.
Not a NASCAR guy but I watched the last twenty laps on Sunday and it was great racing. They had the chance to throw the yellow three times in those final laps to stack up the field and they didn’t, I was really impressed.

I always like to see new drivers get their first win, and Elliott seems like a pretty good kid. He was noticeably quicker through the bus stop than anyone else, especially on exit. He was hustling.

I have watched Chase Elliott drive late models, pro late models and super late models since he was 14 years old. He has always been humble and mature well beyond his age in years and has showed respect for other drivers and the sport. Was really glad to see him get his first win in Cup cars. He is really good on short tracks (1/2 mile) and this is just the start of winning after getting the first win monkey off his back.

I’m hoping to see the young Mr. Elliott put on a good show in Bristol in a couple of weeks !!
