Is there any streaming site showing the older shows ,
I do not want to sign up for only Grand Tour......
Thanks
Motor Trend has all the old Top Gear shows. They have other shows too like Road Kill, past F1 races and whatnots.
Wait, what? I need to find the past f1 races!
They have a $12 subscription special at the moment. Content is basically Discovery channel build shows, international racing that airs on CBSSN, and MT content. But good luck navigating the atrocious UI.
MT on demand is free if you have Hagerty insurance.

I just watched it. Meh. Not even the boats vs cars (they've done other transport before), but like someone said it all seemed forced. I really wanted to like it, the specials used to be my favorite episodes of TG. This one didn't really have a point (even the silly one's had some sort of "point"), the first 1/2 hr was very dry (pun somewhat intended), and I didn't really laugh that much throughout. A few good jokes and digs, but I don't know.
Seemed like after a few decades they said "hey lets go cross some land in a vehicle of some kind, we'll muck about and joke a little, have a serious moment or two. It's worked before." The fact that this "season" is 4 episodes seems to bare that out.

Oh, I have MT on demand. Just didn't know about old f1 races!
I watched it last night. It was just ok. Not real good but not bad.
I hope they go back to cars.
Found it on YouTube , slap me if I say I want to buy a boat !
I know its TV and you have to have Drama , but that must have been tough for a bunch of old guys......
Even if they had a crew to help them.....
But I sure did like the motorbike show from Saigon to the North much better......
Hope they are back next season......
Crossing the sea in Jame's boat during those conditions was idiotic. The other two boats could handle it. If Clarkson actually has a captain's license, he should've taken the other two in hand and done it properly.
It may not have been the most enjoyable of the catalog so far, but it was still worth watching. The episode taught me a few things, the cinematography is still as good as ever and seeing that a river boat was built was pretty cool, too.
I'm a boat guy, so I enjoyed it. Some of the choices they made were pretty stupid, particularly taking an old boat that size out in the bay in those conditions. The other two were rough but not in danger, although better captaining might have mitigated some of the pounding.
Seeing the river boat cruising was awesome, I can't understand not running it on plane in the shallow lake as it would draw less water that way. Granted, if you do run aground it's a lot worse then... The Scarab never looked like it was running right, even when outrunning the river boat. Too much hull in the water to be really running at max. Either it wasn't trimmed out very well or it was overloaded / badly loaded. Of course, Hammond's experience level in boats makes either of those possible.
I would LOVE the opportunity to travel up those rivers in my "own" boat and explore. Just so cool.

Anyone else notice they took active digs at top gear? Generally speaking as least as I remember, they never really mentioned their previous employer. I would have to go back and watch- but I don't remember them using the captain slow moniker before this episode, and when Jeremy says his " on that terrible.." and adds in "much to the disappointment of top gear" it makes me wonder if there was some sort of non-compete that expired or something.
The open sea run was stupid , and even with the film crew nearby someone could have died ,
It was a bit too much Hollywood , making false drama , reality TV style , getting lost when they have drones to check their way and they probably needed permission from the local Police anyway .....
It was still interesting , and I hope they have a few more years together.
Top Gear/Grand Tour has never been as good as Top Gear was :) I swear, the second series for Top Gear people were probably complaining about this new guy that had been added.
"On that terrible disappointment" has been the closing shtick for Grand Tour since the start, IIRC. This was the first time they've specifically mentioned Top Gear, though.
I didn't know I got MT on demand thanks to Hagerty, though! Woo!
It worked for me............road trip show with comedy skits (like any of us every thought they jumped a car with a cameraman still in the trunk).
As for the small boat in choppy water I wasn't particularly alarmed by it but we once took a "borrowed" Hobie Cat across the Kaiwi channel without our parents ever knowing about it...............so I may not be a good judge.
None of those boats were in conditions they couldn't handle, although none of the boats were being operated well given the conditions. If they had turned back and run with the seas, Jeremy and Hammond would have been fine, James might have had a rough time with the slower boat. Heading into it, all 3 needed to slow down more (particularly Hammond). None of the boats appeared incapable of handling the conditions, but Jeremy's downflooding concern put him at probably the biggest risk for not making it. James's boat in particular didn't appear to be a comfortable ride, but generally the crew will be miserable and wanting to die long before the boat truly can't handle the conditions (excluding stuff like rogue waves).
It's a TV show...while that final scene looked dangerous on screen, I would assume it was filmed that way for maximum effect and the producers made every effort to keep them safe.
I'm not a boat guy beyond "whee, riding on them is fun!" and truthfully the Seamen episode didn't hold my attention very well at all. Glad to see the boys back on TV but would rather they stick to cars, I think.

Apparently, they did pull the plug on filming for a bit during the storm in the bay.
"Alongside Richard Hammond and James May, Clarkson was being filmed rowing a boat in the sea near Cambodia and Vietnam before extreme weather swept in causing them to stop rolling."
I don't recall any part of the show where he was rowing a boat.

The cutting room floor.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.........
please fix this.....
I just read that they are only planning on four shows per year? Man, I know the trips are hard to film, but that's not much. I really miss when they would showcase some of the cars and I loved having Abby take the cars around the track. I think they were finally hitting their stride with last season.
You have to admit, some of the special segments, biographies and focus on certain cars were really great. I thought that the conversation street segments were a bit too scripted and they never got the celebrity parts right. But I am going to miss most of what they did.
If I tuned in for the first time and saw this last boat deal, I don't think I would have signed up.
It's funny that we now have so much automotive entertainment and so much is just not that great.

IIRC, the producer recently said it's only 2 shows. Found it on Drivetribe.
"in an interview Executive Producer Andy Wilman said that fans should expect just 2 episodes this year; one around Christmas, and the other in the springtime."
