In reply to SPG123 : my tool collection starts in the 1890’s   I nice wooden grip spammer wrench. Followed by a few curved open end wrench’s from about the same period.  

My favorite power tool belonged to my Grandfather who used it to drill holes inside of  WW1 submarines  at Electric boat works.  

My favorite working piece of equipment is my Sun Distributor machine   That I still use to tune up Jaguar V12 distributors.  I love the fact that it has all the data for Duesenberg engines plus a lot of other glorious collector cars from the 1930’s and 40’s

This expresses the feeling perfectly!          I would love any of those tools. Especially the ones that my Grandfather used. I think this character is a big part of what I love about old vehicles.

My mother in law gave me this.  See the little worm gear on the handle, it needed a new one.  Some lathe time later it runs, I use it to scrub the garage floor.

It has three rotating brushes.  I like old stuff that can be repaired.
