I saw some pictures of an old 80s Mitsubishi today and it's got me thinking. What is the most 80s dated looking car?
Here is my submission:

Complete with ridiculous 80s digital dash
Reminds me of this BAT entry a while back.

Seems like nobody did 80s better (worse?) than Mitsubishi.
My first thought was, yes, another Mitsubishi, the Starion:

Came across this rather interesting story about the name that I hadn't heard before:

My first new car was a 1982 Toyota Celica with the notchback and the headlights that stared at the trees when they weren't on.

lol always forget about the XT. The wedge that time forgot.
My first thought before I opened this thread was Starion too.
My friend had an ct in high school. He called it the " space car".
Wow, both good calls but I think the Subie gets the title by just an edge. Nobody was more 80s than the Japanese. Of course they did the late 70s pretty well too. Anybody remember the late 70s Datsun 200SX?

lol my friend had one of those. My god was that a gross looking car.
The first car that came to my mind was the AW11 MR2. But the Subie XT gets additional weirdness points.
when I think 80s I feel from the JDM y0 side the late 80s prelude fits this description.
From 'Merica it's all about the IROC-Z28 or Foxbody with window louvers.
European:
E30 or 300D
I had that prelude! Till an oak tree flattened it back into the earth (see garage).
Anyway, I'd vote the Z31 300zx's (1983-1989) and also K cars.

Wow! Great picture of the IROC Camaro. It seems to be exactly the theme for the rear end of the new C-7!
Wait when did rear louvers become un cool?.

I loved the Testarossa as a teen when it came out, through the 90's and 00's I thought it was dreadful, now I think it's way cool again. Time for my cotton pants, deck shoes with no socks an aviators

Lately I've been wanting to find a first generation Impulse, put an LS1 in it, and call it the Eight of Clubs, after the Ace of Clubs concept car that inspired it.
I don't think this quite out-'80s a Subaru XT, but it's the most '80s thing that Europe or the US could come up with:

Ha, I came here to say "AW11" as well, then saw the Subie and was, "how can I be so wrong!?!" Glad I wasn't the only one!
it would almost be impossible to get more "80's" than this pic..
Nothing more 80's then ProStreeters.
In reply to novaderrik:
I had that entire Exotic Dreams card set when I was younger. It now resides with Silverfleet.

Scott Sullivan's "Cheese Wiz" '55 at least got driven across the country with no support vehicles for a story in Hot Rod, so it wasn't totally useless from a functional standpoint...
but since you went there:
it has 2 turbos, 2 superchargers, about a billion stages of nitrous, a polished stainless tube frame chassis, and a valve spring for a rear "suspension"..
