I don't know anything about thei car. Photo link on Car junky tv forum
"5 days till speedweek.
Last year I had a violent and unpredictable handling issue (attributed to excessive frontal DF and lift in the rear). The solution was to stretch the nose (from nose tip to spill plate is just over 17’) and blend the air around (including under) it as apposed to forcing it all over the top.
Last year I ran a basically stock 1300cc busa motor and it was my intent to run the turbo busa motor this year (550+ whp) and then run a no compromises big bore busa our 3rd year. Because the car had such a bad handling issue (we never got the over 5K in 5th the car reds at 11K and is a 6 speed) and because the car is almost 100% changed I opted to run the no compromised big bore and run the turbo next year. This way I can gradually step the HP.....after all the car may have another issue once it gets to speed.
This years motor is making 250 whp on pump. 1507 cc busa Ward big valve head billet crank carrillo H beams Bazzaz Fi controller with self mapper hand built header carbon fiber airbox larger TBs billet output, gears and clutch (and everything else that could be done!)
I had also wanted to run a 100 shot of spray....time and my lack of experience with No2 prevented me from doing it this year.
I WILL run the turbo motor next year….currently it is in the shop with a nice layer of dust. It is my intent to get myself and my pop in the 2 club and that motor is the one to do it. "
I sent photos of that SAAB from Bonneville to my SAAB 96 rally car building friend. He had a good laugh.
I saw the green Fiat also. I was there in the American Eagle II team and crewed for Kenny Lyons and his 1949 Triumph.
