Raining, probably from the hurricane, and oil was dumped. STU race delayed and called after three laps.
Question: do all the cars by design retain the windshield defrost? With the windows needing to be down, that seems like a big deal in the rain. I recall a race car with electric defrost wires in the windshield and thought that it was very unusual, but it would be very handy - no blower, ducts, or heat exchanger to mess with. Is electric front window defrost a thing on some cars?

Depends on the car. Could be any of the above. I sent this pic to a friend of mine here was one guy's solution to the issue. I have also done this, and it "works."
