A trio of Ford Mavericks on manufacturer plates. Third one not pictured because Mrs ShawneeCreek couldn't snap the picture fast enough. I saw a different pair last week and another one going the opposite direction about 10 minutes after this picture. The team in Detroit must be doing the last round of highway mileage testing.
They look nice and very "right sized" for most people. But they somehow come across as bland to me. Just a general "I'm a truck" design language. Still cool to see.

Wait, they aren't out yet? I was stuck behind one in traffic for a while yesterday...
...on 23 near Ann Arbor. Hmm. Didn't look at the plate.
Saw one of these in the wild today. It was black on black on black. Pretty much this car:
It was supercar fast. Looking at the specs, it sort of makes sense: 591 hp twin turbo V8, 3.2 second 0-60.
Sadly, the glorious turbo'd V8 noises were pretty muted, because luxocar?
Saw a junkyard unicorn today:
Chevy Sprints were never common around here, and I'd guess I've seen 2 or 3 on the road in Ohio in the last 10 years. And I've almost never seen a 5 door. Weird thing is, the most recent one I saw on the road was also a 5 door. There was also a Reatta in the yard, but I usually see a few of those a year in junkyards. But with prices on good ones going up, I expect they'll get a lot more scarce, too, as the junkers get snapped up for parts cars.

When we were leaving we passed a bunch of '02 going south. Must have been a good sized get together.
I passed him a few times on track. I was told it had the new mustang 4cyl turbo motor? I didn't talk to the owner.
Took my 13 year old to an Italian car show on Sunday.
As we were leaving I asked which car he would like to take home and when he said the Lancia I gave him a high five.
