A rust free and running 80's Yota truck in Ohio...

There's one in my neighborhood, but not sure if this is it.
Saw this at an indy shop. Just 46,000 miles. They said they can't get fuel-related parts (CIS, presumably). Ran when parked after fuel-related service 9 years ago. Guessing it's an older person's toy, wonder if they'll sell it...

I wonder what they're having trouble getting. I've not had any issues tracking down CIS parts for my 8V 900 (yet). That Cabriolet is hot.

Yeah, I thought it was kinda odd that the tech said that. I'm not a huge VW fan but I had a girlfriend years ago who had a Cabriolet and it was a fun car. And this one does look especially good
It's a dually... Chevy S10?!?
A closer look showed it is using hub adapters. Presumably not factory, but looks like it was competently done.
I'm still not sure what one would build a dually S10 work truck for, though.
In reply to MadScientistMatt :
I always wanted to build a dually crewcab s10 (using blazer parts) with either a duramax or LS motor.
Picture unrelated. I only saw it for a split second, but I think it was a mk1 golf on a beetle tub with big tires. Looked awesome.

Looks like short box stepside rear fenders.
They were fiberglass. Looked like he'd backed one into something. The truck looked like it had been built well but the current owner didn't have the funds to restore it.
I stopped to check directions on my way back home, and when I looked up I found every last remaining red buick reatta.

Hey! I've seen that place!
At today's autocross there was a W8 manual-trans 4Motion Passat wagon. It made 3 runs and then broke.

Wasn't there a thread here where somebody had to cut down main bearings for another VAG motor because you can't get W8 parts anymore?
In reply to MadScientistMatt :
I would not doubt it.
Internal parts were NEVER available for Audi V8s. They were officially service-as-assembly. Given that the primary wear item was the engine block itself, I can kind of get that. So, internal engine parts being unavailable for the W8 tracks with VWAG precedent.
When I was W8 hunting, the timing chains and cam timing actuators were still available. Then they were discontinued. I decided to stop W8 hunting.
