Mitsubishi Delica. There are a few in the country but it's the first time I've seen this one:
Just returned from NYC last weekend. After living in north central MN, just walking the streets of Manhattan is awesome. The cars being driven there range from vintage to exotic. I saw a pristine TR6 sitting at a light near the UN. BMW/Audi/Porsche/Land Rover were as common as Camry/Accord sightings here. Plus, the the same types of cars/SUVs listed above being parked and left in crappy parking lots was unsettling. Dirty, rat infested, bird feces from above, minimum security. Parking a nice car outside is one thing, but subjecting it to these conditions is above and beyond. I would not own a car there.
I saw a crew cab S10 yesterday. I thought those were Mexico only.
Hell, I saw an S10 yesterday, that's rare enough

They sold them late in the product run. There's one in my area I see occasionally, and I almost always do a double take when I see it.
Saw tons of crew cab Tacomas in Hawaii last week, most of the ones I see in Ohio are extended cab.
Saw this 928 while out with my wife. I was taking a picture when the lady in the background says "it's his" and points to a guy around the corner. He said it was a 1978 that he has owned for 34 years. It's rough as hell, but he drove it to work which is pretty amazing. I told him I had never seen one move under it's own power. He laughed.
Saw my first Hellcat Charger in the wild yesterday, it was purple, and really had I not seen the badge as it passed me, I probably wouldn't have thought anything of it.
I know that it's got 707 horsepower, but that doesn't seem to be enough to get me to care. Maybe I'm broken?
But I saw a very nice '60-'63 powder blue ("sky mist" maybe according to google) Falcon at the gas station today, it had a 5.0l swap based on the noticeable but not too tacky emblem on the fender, I didn't hear it run. It kept my attention longer than the Hellcat, and I'm not even a Ford guy.
Honda beat, running around the streets of downtown Columbus! It was in excellent condition and was RHD. I'm sure they all are rhd but still.
See if this works:
It made the Honda Odyssey in front of it look like a monster truck.

Saw my first Hellcat in downtown D.C. a couple of months ago. Owner gave me a nice little rev of recognition.
Saw a C4 convertible a couple days ago. Missed getting a picture but it was like this one:
It had a lip spoiler and side skirts, may have had an entire aftermarket rear panel because the taillights looked more squarish than usual. Never seen it before, this may be the 2nd or 3rd C4 in the country - I know the landlord of the first house my family lived in when we moved here bought a red hardtop (that's when we knew he was overcharging us), there was a gold hardtop for sale last year which may be the same one, and now there's this convertible.
I had no chace to take a pic, but there was a Subaru Tribeca out in the wilds of Northeast Cincinnati today. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those on the streets of this town.
E60 M5, Karmann Ghia convertible, A small japanese van that I believe was a Delica, and a fox body Capri.
I've seen enough BMW i8s that I'm wondering if they aren't unicorns anymore. Tesla model X is getting close too.
I did see a Maserati SUV parked on South Broad Street in Philly last week, first time seeing one of those. To be honest, IDK which one it was, and if I didn't see it from the front I would have thought it was an Infiniti.
I saw - twice - a bluish thing that I thought was a BRZ that someone debadged because somehow debadging is a thing. Was making V8 noises, too, so I figured, eh, hot rodder took the badges off and put a V8 under the hood because of the LS All The Things movement.
The second time I saw it, I was in traffic and not in a parking lot, so I saw the back end. Not a Subaru. Maserati something maybe? I thought they only made huge sedans, not frzbee clones.
Also, I saw a SRT Grand Cherokee that either had a manual transmission or the automatic trans completely lets off the throttle and takes two whole seconds to upshift.
In reply to STM317:
That was probably it. Same gaffed-fish front end, same surprised-a-sleeping-cat headlights. And the side profiles are remarkably similar when you get a glimpse from the side as it goes by at 40mph:
Very similar proportions inside the wheelbase, similar glass and greenhouse shape, same little bulge over the front fender. Interesting. No wonder I thought "BRZ" when I had a half a second to see it.
Speaking of 6ers, I saw a 633CSi last time I was in Columbus. Parked on the street like it ain't no thang.
In reply to Knurled:
Ooh e24??? I do love those!
Here's mine, haven't gotten to start working on it yet, but I have big plans for it. :)
No pic, but today I saw a final gen full-size Blazer (or perhaps Tahoe) two door with barn doors at the back instead of a tailgate.
I never knew they made the two-doors with barn doors at the back!
Got a few to post from the last week or so. First an update:
GameboyRMH wrote: I'm not sure what I saw yesterday...I passed some kind of Rolls Royce Phantom knockoff, very quickly in traffic. The most noticeable difference in the front end was the slightly "slanty" headlights, not right angles like the real deal. When I looked in the rearview it had what looked like a (recent) Chrysler emblem on the back. It may have been one of these: http://intorg.netfirms.com/Cars10/RollsRoyce/2005_rolls_royce_phantom_replica.htm I remember the front end being more angular and less similar to the real RR than that though. Maybe some Chinese knockoff? Have driven next to the real deal before BTW...the loudest noise it made was the tires rolling.
GameboyRMH wrote:einy wrote: That description screams Chrysler 300 conversion ...Saw it again yesterday, confirmed it's a 300C conversion, the taillights are the same. The front looks a bit different from anything I can find online though, the headlights are LEDs.
I snapped a pic of this car, out the window while driving right through the center of the capital a few days ago. Not bad considering that I was driving at a sprinting pace. You can see a reflection of the Samurai's mud tires on the right edge of the grille.
It's being used as a taxi.
Another drive-by photo shooting, this time a Lotus Elan:
While there's only one of these in the country I must admit that I've seen this car around lots before...but this might be the first time I've seen it outside of the shop where I get my laser alignments done.
Finally, I didn't snap a pic but yesterday I did see a "neo-classical" abomination, first one in the country. I think it was a Zimmer Golden Spirit like this one:
