Thats an R32 GTS-T.
No pics, but I spotted a Subaru BRAT on the road last week. And the day after spotting the BRAT, I ran across a Toyota Tercel with a sticker in the back window that said "Boosted." My first though was, "Yeah, right" - until I saw the massive intercooler up front.
Anybody ever seen one of these? I didn’t even know they existed before tonight... that’s what I get for being from small town Idaho...
This started showing up in the lot a work recently. 90% of the Aston DB9 experience, but for Jag money.
Hardly a unicorn I suppose. Just a late model used car. But on this end of town, we don't see a whole lot of fancy stuff, especially since my neighbor across the street sold her Gallardo.
My son and I saw a Lotus Evora in a beautiful dark red, similar to this one yesterday:

What's a saab 94x ?
It’s a Cadillac SRX, not exciting except they only made about 800 total before saab went out so they are really rare. 600 in the US I think.
Saw a Dodge Lancer ES Turbo today, between the interstate and the city I live in. It was pretty cool, and quick off the line at stop lights!

My first family car! We had an '85, at the time they were so cool. Turbo, Digital dash, factory sunroof. A friend had a Daytona and the wife and I were going to get one of them and when we got to the dealership discovered the Lancer. Way more practical for a young family and all the same sickness. That thing would haul. I remember coming home from DC to MA late at night going through NE Connecticut and RI I was cruising at about 120 but the wind noise would wake up SWMBO so I would back down to 100 and slowly ramping it back up until she woke again. Fun car for many years.
Not really that much of a unicorn around here but I saw this guy yesterday. He still uses the car in local rallies so seeing it tearing down a local dirt road isn't uncommon. Still a cool car though.
I was behind a Volkswagen Fox on the way to work this morning. It's been ten or fifteen years since I've seen one of those in the wild.
Did you American types even get the Fox?
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
We did. If I remember right we got the 2-door coupe, sedan, and 2-door wagon versions, but you couldn't get the wagon in a 5-speed, only a 4-speed manual or auto. They were garbage but I loved the way that 2-door wagon looked.
I saw a Murano convertible recently. It was just as bad as the pictures make it look.
Maybe its the precursor to all the luxury lifted 'coupes' that the Germans are building now. Only a matter of time before they lop to tops off for more $$$.

My second car was a 1990 Fox sedan with 5-speed with those horrible automatic seatbelts. Even then, I think I was aware it was a heap of junk. I’m not really surprised they haven’t survived.
In reply to Erich :
There’s a VW Fox 2-door wagon for sale around the corner from me. Navy blue. Nice condition.

Yeah, I want to say they sold new for around Yugo money, i.e. $3,990-ish

I remember my father looking at one back in 1988. He crossed shopped it with the Ford Tempo he ended up buying.
And then after I turn onto the road out of work, in what is shaping up to be a decent snowfall, I find myself behind a Tesla Model X 100D, with California MFG plates.
Interesting.
The VW Fox was an A1 or A2 junkyard hunters nightmare. Close enough to be mistaken for either, look the same when they are buried in 3 feet of weeds, but absolutely no parts worth pulling for an A1 or A2.
The local yard had an absolute pile of them, all in pretty nice shape. Brazillian made, as I recall.
