Guys on the Columbus-based VW forum used to post SEAT sightings all the time. I guess a sizable enough percentage of college students there come in from Mexico. Sizable enough that the confirmation-bias echo chamber of a VW centric group would notice, at least.

Columbus, Georgia, or Columbus, Ohio?

Don't forget Columbus, Mississippi
Saw a bright red Alfa Giulia this morning out in the snow and cold. Dang they are pretty cars!

NMNA. I've certainly never seen one.
Rare 85 Volvo 4x4 ARO Hunter - $1500 (Aragon)
Not sure where he got the Volvo part - these were sold in Canada for a short time - mostly out east.
NX2000 across from me at a light, terrible pic
I zoomed in and still thought it was a paseo.
+1 on Paseo, the NX parking lamps are separate from the headlamp. Still a unicorn, at least in the rust belt.
Probably is a paseo, my quick Google fu looks like it was wrong
Saw a new Ranger in the parking lot at work.
I figure I have less than a month before this no longer belongs in the unicorn thread.

A car hauler completely packed with 80s generic-box midsize and fullsize cars, complete with enough dust that they looked like they sat in a barn for thirty years, headed north on I-71 just north of Columbus. Mostly sedans but also a few wagons.
I would imagine that is what it would look like if someone bought an abandoned dealership. Cars looked complete and in great shape aside from all the dust.
Perspective is odd thing, I'd see that and assume they were for a film or tv shoot.
Spotted this rotting away at some shop. There were lots of classics rotting with it.
A V6 RWD Toyota sedan currently in production, the Mark X:
First time I've seen one of this generation IRL. I don't think they're sold here or in North America.
In reply to Gasoline :
Who did the conversion? It doesn't look like the 'regular' Lynx ones.

Could it possibly be a re-badged Lexus? I dont know enough about Mark X's to know if they are twins with any of the Lexus lineup.
Not just a rebadge, but it shares a chassis and mechanical bits with the Lexus GS.
In reply to Gasoline :
Tire sizes won't work in 4w. Or is it an optical alusion ?
In reply to Adrian_Thompson :
It is not a Lynx...pretty sure. I'm not sure who did the conversion. I kinda think it looks slightly better than the Lynx. He told me about it years ago, and its been so long, I forgot the details. He's does not drive it much. I will try to find out more next time I see him.

??? No illusion. Those are the tires and wheels on it.

That's what I was getting at, since the Mark X was never sold in the US I'd venture to guess some one just put a Toyota and Mark X badge on their GS, probably so they could live the JDM life.
Saw a CNG fueled Civic in traffic today. Bit of an odd duck.
you don't see THIS too often!
Traffic was stuck at a stand-still so I slowly approached this having no idea what I was looking at. When I got up beside it I was like, "OHHHHHH"
