Some states are truly the wild west and its awesome. For example, Michigan lets you get a constructed vehicle VIN for UTVs and plate them for street use. Need DOT tires (which this rig doesnt seem to have), lights, blinkers, 4 ways, horn, glass windshield with wiper and washer, bumpers, and a functioning mechanical parking brake that doesnt use the existing braking system, and a few other small odds and ends. The inspection is carried out by an officer of the law, if he is either a fan of what your are looking to do or a family friend, you are gonna have a pretty easy time getting a sign off.
I always wonder a bit about how big of a loophole really exists on this stuff. Since this already has a legit constructed vehicle title and assigned VIN (and not like the Montana "Autocycle" title loophole where Autocycle is a seemingly made up vehicle class for the purpose of bringing tax money to Montana), can I take the title and VIN and register it in another state no problem? How different is this than registering any other kit car with a clean out of state title and assigned VIN at this point?
Would this vehicle (or buying a legally titled and plated UTV with an assigned VIN from Michigan and registering it in Wisconsin as a kit car with assigned VIN) be one of those "you can beat the rap but you won't beat the ride" scenarios where eventually you just get sick of getting your vehicle impounded and getting hauled in to court just to keep proving a point that you are technically legal because of state reciprocity - can't deny me to title and register this vehicle if you don't deny every other legal instance of an out of state title being transferred into Wisconsin for example.

From what I understand some states straight up refuse to title certain types of kit cars. Usually exo skeleton type cars. I wouldn't expect a ton of issues with something that looks like a nascar.

I was expecting to see Indy Profiles, a set of those Goodyear Eagle #1s, or maybe some Hoosier Pro Street Radials with stick on yellow letters. I guess if its a sunny day only, church and the liquor store sort of car you can run it on slicks.
