GRM publisher Tim Suddard recently got the chance to test out a GTA stock car thanks to Butch Kummer of the Atlanta region SCCA. Butch is a great guy who helps make the ARRC at Road Atlanta a reality, so catching a ride with him was a no-brainer.

I too wondered what the red light ment and if I the driver should be concerned.
Butch is a really great guy. I wish I had a better experience working with the region...I would still be there if I could.

I always liked it that Butch names his cars. I think the one in the vid's named "Cuervo". I gotta get to a club race, I don't think I've seen the man in five years.

Circle track cars here in the South are cheap, and I'll bet y'all up in the Midwest have plenty of `em as well. You will not see 170mph for less (unless it's a motorcycle

There are a number of these for sale right now on RacingJunk under road race cars, also under late model stock cars. or at the v8stockcar.com message board.
A basic road race conversion can be done for as little as 1500.
you can pick up roller late models for as little as 3000, add a SBC, or a LS crate motor and a Jerico or T10. You'll have one wicked ride for about the same as a front running spec miata.....and the tires are cheaper to boot.
