In the mail today, not only did I receive my February issue, but also a package from Mike (Javelin) with the decals he made so I can finish my ChEapparal build! And he threw in the Greenwood Vette I lusted after on his YouTube channel.
Thank you. It's been a tough January here with the recent loss of a dog. Sometimes it's the small things we do for one another that help make it all bearable.

Remember that you're one of these best people.
Oh good! Now I don't have to post a similar topic. You guys are amazing.
Losing a pet is losing a family member. Treat yourself well. Its always just so damn hard.
Love and healing going towards you.
This place does rock. Thank you, everyone, for making it so special.
*blushes*
No, you are the best!
I can't count how many times someone from here has helped me through a dark time, from sending model rotaries (from the op, vwcorvette himself!) or Domes (from Wally!) or Lego cars in the mail to emails at just the right time to looking at a car for me in Arizona just to make sure it still existed! The community here is full of amazing people and I can grateful for all of you. I can honestly say that a big part of the reason that I am still on this Earth is the men and women here. Hey who's cutting onions around here?!?
So, cheers to the hive mind!
This forum has GREAT people.
The 5 people I personally interact with via text, email all the time, and have helped me out, and I am forever grateful are:
- JAVELIN
- SCOTTY B (GUY IS AN ANGEL)
- BMW88RIDER (MY BETTER LOOKING RICHER TWIN)
- MAZDADUECE
- PIMPM3
I would make a list, but it would be huge and I would fail to include too many.
Y'all are awesome. Except Joe. berkeley Joe (that's a joke from this last year's challenge. I don't really hate Joe)
My group therapy and fellow addicts.
after lurking here for years i can say its one of the last great car forums on the internet as far as i'm concerned, and its because everyone here is just Good People and so cool about sharing knowledge, being willing to talk even if we disagree, and lending a hand. it feels like an actual community vs a chatroom.
made some great friends here and my only regret is that i don't get out to racing events or on roadtrips enough to meet more of you face to face.
