do a 5 lug conversion using junkyard/cheap parts store parts and you have an almost unlimited choice of wheels with the common 4.5" bolt pattern whereas i think the Supercoupe uses some stupid silly metric bolt pattern.
This is really a draw, since swapping Mustang hubs onto a Supercoupe is extremely easy.
Hope this isn't too silly of an answer but here goes: Get both. Get an SC, pull the SC and add a turbo. I mean don't street-racers like to turbo the terminator Mustangs? Supposedly the engine is built to take the boost. It seems like it might be easier than trying to turn up the boost on that silly supercharger they gave it.

what about the rear?
Press IRS Cobra hubs into the T-bird bearings/knuckles. Redrill T-Bird rotors to 5x4.5, or use Cobra rotors with caliper relocation brackets.
I had both, traded my supercoupe to my little brother for his turbo coupe and cash.
As a daily driven car, I liked the super coupe better. Both were stick and loaded and stock. No idea about the mod potential. I bought my supercoupe when it was a 1 year old car at the dealer - so pre internets.
