Is the Ranger head still a thing with these?
Was it ever? Honest question.
The round-port heads made building a custom intake slightly easier, but outside of that narrow use case, Rangers didn't have anything especially worth having.
Back when the Turbo Coupe was introduced, I got a postcard in the mail one day from Ford inviting me to test drive one for a weekend. That weekend coincided with a trip I'd been planning, so I got to put 500 miles on a brand new Thunderbird for free. I liked it a lot.
I once missed one of these for $200 with limited problems. They crushed it because it ate serpentine belts and ..."you cant fix that".
Mourn with me......because apparently they had changed a pulley and chipped it. Wonder if a chipped pulley was cutting a belt.???????
I take delivery in about 2.5 hours. Stay tuned for first impressions.

Time has passed ... Needs more updates... Turbo powaaaa...
So, it rides like a lowered car. Steering is very responsive. Running 16 psi currently. Has a bit of lag, but when it comes on, all is right with the world!!! I'm going to have to hook the fan up properly. Currently it is running on a switch. I know I will over heat it by not turning it on, or kill the battery by leaving it on. Short throw shifter is niiiiiccceee!!!! I am going to have to repaint it, fix a bunch of stuff, lighten it, and upgrade it. But overall I am extremely happy. I think I will start a very long drawn out build thread.

I was brought home from the hospital in one of these, because it had antilock brakes and by my dad’s flawed reasoning, that made it safer in the snow than the Toronado (or Park avenue?) that Mom had. It was the first vehicle they had with ABS.
Dad owned it for 9 years, which I think is the longest he has ever owned a car with the exception of the E30 and Austin Healey, which are/were toys as opposed to DDs.
First turbo car I ever rode in. Love these.
Well, I just got the bird home. It rides like a buck board ( read, it's really nimble with a lack of body roll), it drinks a ton of fuel, (probably due to my heavy right foot) I filled up twice today. Most everything works in the interior, but it buzzes and rattles everywhere. One can tell it is angry, just needs a bit more love to make it vicious. Long story short, I LOVE IT!!!!
