Hi everyone. I'm trying to remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail in my NB2. I currently have the fuel rail unbolted. I was able to get the front two undone, but cannot reach in there to disconnect them from the connectors. I also cannot get the last two out of the fuel rail because I don't have enough access. Any tips on making more access to remove the fuel injectors and get them disconnected from their connectors? Not sure if the picture helps, but I appreciate any tips I can get!

It's been a while, but IIRC you need to pull the top half of the intake manifold off.

I think he has?  The white cloth looks like it's there to cover the holes in the bottom half, and I'm pretty sure you don't get that much access to the fuel rail with the top bit on.

IIRC the challenging bit is that the wiring harness is clipped to the fuel rail with little plastic clips, but the wiring harness has no slack at the back of the motor while the flexible fuel line for the rail attaches at the front of the motor.  When clipped together the whole thing isn't moving very far.  Separate them and you can "hinge" the two up separately in opposite directions.

Yep, the top half is off! I just have a rag over the inner part to prevent stuff from falling in. I see what you mean now with the wiring harness; any tips on unclipping that? I'm not trying to break any clips...I have very bad luck with clips.

Alright so I managed to get everything in after unclipping the harness...and yes I broke one of the clips as I was expecting. I did put a little ziptie on...does this get hot enough to melt it off, or should I be okay? Also any tips on checking to make sure the injectors are seated correctly?
