Hi All,

I've searched the forum and it didn't bring anything up when I looked.

I bought a set of Nitto NT01s that I'm intending on using for the upcoming HPDE season, and I'd like to get them heat cycled. I'm aware that I can do it with the tires on the car, but I'm not looking to waste registration fees on one day to run a slow session and then let the car sit until the following day. Tire Rack doesn't sell the NT01, or I'd have had them do it. I even called them and acted like I'd bought tires from them by mistake and they said the best thing to do would be to return them and re-purchase them with the heat cycling done.

I'm in the DC/MD/VA area, and I've found exactly one shop about 5 hours away from me that's willing to help me out in NY. Does anyone know of a tire shop that is less than 5 hours away that offers heat cycling?

I'm guessing that one shop is Phil's?  That's the only other place besides TR that I know offers this service.

The alternative, assuming the car is plated, is to simply drive on them for a good 45 minutes or so, especially if you can add in some cloverleaf action for the sidewalls to get warm.

Ah well, bit of a bummer. You're correct - it's Phil's. I emailed them and they're willing to heat cycle tires that weren't purchased from them, which is nice.

The car isn't plated, so it's just a matter of making the drive or paying FedEx/UPS to ship them up there. Thank you!
