I watched the Top Gear episode last night where they try to go from Saigon to a city just south of the China border. I haven't laughed so hard in months. Then they tempered my spirit a bit by dissing on the US, which they seem to love to do.

I always think that's a riot.
Interesting episode, indeed. I still have to watch "F-Word meets Top Gear" that recorded after it. I'm a huge F-Word fan.

Criticism in the form of humor is your friend's way of telling you the hard truth.
One of my top 5 episodes, I have been excited all week that this was going to be on. Also top contenders: Killing a Toyota Diesel, The origional car-boats, American Muscle cars, and some other good one I can't think of right now.

It's been up on youtube for nearly a year in bits if you need a spoiler. Long live Gordon Ramsey and the TG boys.
May: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTOfhQ_SZEg
Clarkson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akqzCIQvfX8
Hammond must've been off opening a kazoo shop somewhere.

They are just haters. But who's not to some extent?

hammonds not as much as the other two
The teasing of US viewers was quite different in this episode. They were in Vietnam! There's a bit of history there, for those who don't know...

Best episode has to be the limos!! watching the steering wheel come off in Jame's hand had me on the floor!!
or the Alfa episode, or the cop cars.
Clarkson and May on the F-Word was humerous.
I like seeing Ramsey when he isn't being theatrically sour.
Saw an article years ago about Vietnam cracking down on collectors coming into the country and buying up the old French cars; Citroen Traction Avant, etc.
It occured to me that they may have been doing the world a favor...

It was mostly Clarkson in this particular episode. The only thing that gets my goat is they are from the country that planted their flag all around the world and oppressed people for centuries. Pot calling the kettle black. I guess they never got over the whole American Revolution thing.
Watching this episode, though, makes you wonder the Vietnamese are better off or worse off.

I'm pretty sure I've already seen all of the footage on the show (didn't watch your youtube clips yet). Worth watching again, though. May getting loaded in the recipe challenge was priceless. "You disappoint me, Ramsey." lol
