Remember the van from "Last Action Hero?" Here it is, right before the mini-gun pops out of the sliding door...
I had a friend that worked at a Toyota dealership. He stated that the general consensus among the mechanics that worked there was that the Previa was the best vehicle Toyota ever made. True story.

I have a friend who owns a Toyota/Lexus workshop and makes the same statement. He has one as the shop's workhorse and said they are (at least the powertrain) is WAY overbuilt.

thummper.. no reason you can't have your own thread here.. why not start one? Your van is only vaguely related to Previas.

Yep-I want more info and the Previa thread doesn't really say what your build is about.
I just bought a well cared for 94 RWD Previa with 260K on it. It has a little rust over one of the rear wheel wells and needs strut or shocks all way around. Is it worth it to get it fixed or should I just drive it till it drops as is? How many miles can I expect to get out of the engine? I know the guy who owned it, treated it well and kept up on maintenence. Sure is a fun ride to drive.
I agree, i would fix the rust and keep that thing going. They're rare enough. Some cars can and should be used up and tossed.. others should be 'stewarded'.

Crossing Soda Lake on the Mojave Road! Do I win a prize?
I have an uber base model 91. i love it more than anyone should ever love a minivan. 5 speed, crank windows, 240k, looking good on a spare set of 300zx wheels i had sitting in my garage. with decent rubber and completely blown suspension its surprisingly sticky, 60mph through indicated 35mph corners! my tax refund is going to monroe sensatrak's and metalmaster pads for it, color me excited.
