My son wants to do The Monster Memorial TT with the P71. After doing some digging, it appears no one makes a performance pad for the that car. Hawk makes rears, but not fronts. I don't want the brakes going away 5 minutes into a 15 minute session.
So, who makes the best non performance pad.
What's the FMSI number for the pads?
I have no idea. I'm not even sure where to find that info.
Contact Wendy at porterfield. She will get you hooked up!
They made endurance road racing shoes for the back of my Malibu when I called.

The FMSI number is typically used as the part number on a set of brakes. Fronts for my Civic are 465s for example.

This. We have them make Raybestos ST43 for the Oldsmobile Bravada calipers we use on our S10 based lemons cars, they can recommend a good pad compound and stick it to any backing plate.
Another reach out to porterfield recommendation.
Also talk to Carbotech. They don't have prices listed, but they do list a part number for front and rear brakes for 03-11 Crown Vics. It just says to call where the price normally would show.
Another Porterfield recommendation. I've even had them make custom drum brake shoes with race compounds.
Porterfield will make whatever you want, but they are pretty pricey. He doesn't want to spend big money on pads. The OE severe duty pads for the police package are available for about $60. We are going to see how those hold up. Thanks for the input. We will know where to precede if he wants to keep flogging this car.
Does Performance Friction make pads for that? They used to make them for everything (except Fairmonts).
