Last week I got a reply to an old Hooniverse comment asking about a Bitter SC that I knew of, hiding in the Old Car Lot at my local Pick-n-Pull. The gentleman runs a registry for the cars.
I told him I'm hobble down and get some more info on it today. I remembered it being picked clean.
Below are some pics of my trip today. I haven't been down there since September I think.
Seats come from Maserati Biturbo.
This used to be my X1/9. Apparently the lady I sold it to burned up the clutch and had it scrapped. After letting it rot for a few years. Very sad.
I think this Alfa GTV6 could be in daily driver shape. Probably there just for a clutch or timing belt :(
Those seats look pretty nice.
The Volvo P1800 is such a beautiful car.
Nash Metropolitan
Oh, and the Bitter guy emailed me and told me thanks and talked about his trip to CarsNCoffee this morning. He mentioned a friend with a Wartburg 353 that came from Texas.... Wanna bet that it is the same one that belonged to the guy I bought my wife's W201 190E from?

Small world!
Good morning, though my crutches kept sinking in the mud. Doh!
Wow there are some nice finds there! I need the door striker for the passenger side of a fiat x19 and I never have them around me!

I'll hollar at you the next time I'm down that way, it might be awhile, but if you haven't found one by then I'll snag one for you.
As a Northerner, almost all of those cars looks too good to be in a junk yard. The GTV6 made me cry a little . . .

Yeah, I've driven much worse.
Wow man. I didn't know they even made junk yards that don't have broken coil springs sticking through the ground every few inches, with thick, rainbow-sheen mud in between and no room to work around the cars.

That JY is about 10000x cleaner than the JYs by me. I am a little jealous.
What I see in that yard makes me LOSE FAITH IN HUMANITY!!

Yeah, just picked up a set of BMW E30 BBS Basketweaves in 14" for my Opel GT. A little easier to get tires for than the factory 13". Even found out that they still make BF Goodrich Radial TA's in 14". Not the grippiest but certainly period.
