So, my wife just called me to say she’d seen a really cool car and wanted to let me know. This isn’t uncommon, she spends a lot of time in the car and she calls about Aston’s, Ferrari’s, Lambo’s etc., sometimes she snaps a pic if possible.
Today she said she saw a really call small car shaped like a bullet with a tiny window, barely a couple of feet high. I tried describing some possibilities then resorted to texting pics of what I thought it might me. I sent the following:
No joy with any. She says the Elio is the closest, but without wheels so I added the Tango.
Nope, no joy, way too tall, more like the Elio, but lower, more bullet like with a really small front screen. I wonder if it’s some kind of home built as she said it was really really small, that's why I started with the Messerschmitt. Really wish she’d goa pic of this one.
Any ideas?
In reply to RossD:
Certainly no the Smart, nor a Barabus version either. She knows what they look like. There used to be lots around us. The others are too old from what she says and she's really strong on the bullet shape.

It wouldn't have been a morgan 3 wheeler? Was it enclosed or open cockpit?
I guess if only seen from the rear one could say that the Morgan 3-wheeler looks like a bullet, but I don't get the impression that's what she meant.

She's my wife, she knows Morgan three wheelers and replicas. She saw me drooling over this earlier in the year.
OK, just talked and texted more. I sent her a belly tanker.
Nope, no exposed wheels.
So I sent the MG EX 181
She said this is the closest yet, but no fairing behind the bubble canopy and the tail more rounded like the nose rather than tapered.
She said it wasn't a school solar car though.
I'm thinking a home build hyper mileage car.
First car a Messerschmit(sp).

Yes it is, but no that's not what she saw.
