So I have a set of BBS RS wheels, and one of the lips is bent. I have a replacement lip, but I'm not sure the best sealant to use or the proper procedure to seal it. I'm sure someone here has done it. Is there any off the shelf silicone that will work? I'd really rather not have to order special BBS glue or something stupid.

I heard RTV works...never had two piece wheels though.

RTV would probably work but personally I would stay away from the ones that have a vinegar smell, those would cause corrosion eventually.

Why do you need to seal two piece wheels?

I have to take one apart, and I'd prefer it holds air when I'm done.

Come on people! Someone here has to have first hand experience!

... three piece wheels split halves and centers, I thought the two piecers split center and outer ring.

Mine are actually RM's, not RS's. I'm pretty sure the RS wheel is a three piece wheel.

Pretty much, but they still need to be sealed. This is what they look like apart.

Valco Clear Silicone 350 is used by many wheel shops. It seals and stays stretchable so vibration and heat do not affect the seal. You can get it at www.bigwrenchracing.com.
