In the midst of a 1994 miata timing belt job. I originally put paint marks on the belt and the cams. Much time and a little blood later, the new belt is on. Cams were locked relative to each other with the crossed wrench and vise grip trick mentioned in the miata.net garage. Spring has been tensioned.
Dumb question. I've done the 2x crank rotation. The timing marks appear to align up where they belong. 19 teeth between the cams. However, the belt and cam paint dots no longer align. Ok or not ok?
Thanks! I want to get this car on the road! I took a lot of pictures on the dis-assembly. Haven't taken pictures of the assembled bits yet. I'll go out and take them. BRB.

Get yourself an online host for your images (photobucket, etc.), upload them over there. Once uploaded, click on "properties", copy that web addy, when you post over here, click on the "insert image" icon (the little camera next to the question mark). For me, it always posts at the top of the message, so you may have to copy that and paste it down below your comment.
Good luck!
