Anybody have experience with this? I've got one in my lab, but never really needed to use it. Thought about using it to clean parts with.

It works MINT on carburetors.

We use them in the lab all the time to clean stuff. They do tend to die out pretty quick though unless you spend the big bucks on one (3K+)

There's a recent discussion on the Garage Journal board about the ultrasonic cleaners sold by Harbor Freight. The concensus seems to be they work pretty well, although they aren't very big.

they work great on things that are both tedious, hard to clean and have small parts. Firearms, carbs, fishing reels, etc. I've also seen them used for cleaning the faces of golf clubs of mud and general debris, but that for the lazy.

The ones with a heater work better, but are big money.

I bought a HF one the other day to clean clock movements. I have been very happy with it so far.
