GRM had an article or video about it, and I'm coming up empty.
What product did they use?
Also, soliciting suggestions for what to use on my Subaru, the factory heat barrier decided to disintegrate.
Things I was looking at:
Item One
Item Two
Factory heat barrier where? On the firewall, or the actual underside of the hood?
I used that Thermo-Tec adhesive stuff in the transmission tunnel of my Corvette and I thought it was pretty good. The adhesive is really strong. I put it on 2 years ago and was just under there recently and it's holding up well. I don't really have anything to compare it to as far as blocking heat is concerned. The floor does still get warm at times, but there's a lot going on under there.
On the bottom of the hood. The factory stuff was a cardboard/fiber monstrosity.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
Yes, that is EXACTLY the one I wanted. Thank you, David. I'm trying to support your advertisers.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Ex-Patrón) :
Cool and thank you.
Also, note to self: Always look on YouTube instead of just trying to find things on the forum.

Noted for future purchase. Now that I've lowered the engine in my Cougar I can get the insulation back in.

Except I couldn't when I was looking, and now it's the first result. I'm pretty sure it was a "me" problem, though.
Thanks again!
