That's a very prominent oil cooler. It looks like a zit in the middle of some fine cleavage.

I agree ( in that photo for sure ) I am a firm believer in blacked out fittings or even black rattle can treatment to keep the eyes from being drawn to bright shiny , colored obects. And detracting from the sweet lines.
