A quick google shows it is worth $50-80k restored. The auction will probably go to $8-10k
Boy you'd have to rat rod it, there's not enough left there to make it worth while.

I agree ( in that photo for sure )
I am a firm believer in blacked out fittings or even black rattle can treatment to keep the eyes from being drawn to bright shiny , colored obects.
And detracting from the sweet lines.
