Current daily is my '06 Mustang GT convertible. But we also have a '79 Chevy pickup with a built 350 in it.
I sold my Cadillac in 2009, which up until that point meant I only ever drove from the time I got my driver's license in 1998 a V8, first an 1983 305 powered Pontiac Parisenne wagon, followed by a 4.5L Cadillac Eldorado, followed by a 4.6L Cadillac Eldorado. Then I got my 3.slooooooooo Ranger, and have hated driving ever since...
(but I've cleared with the wife the next vehicle is going to be a C6 vette so I'll be back in the saddle once more)
I've never owned anything with a V8 in the 36 years I've owned vehicles. My very last company car however, did have a V8. It was a Dodge Magnum. I have to admiot that is could be entertaining.
Let's see:
How's that for US V8 Iron
Currently in the fleet:
2002 Corvette (LS1)
2002 F250 (Navistar 7.3)
So thats two great, American V8s!
In the past I have had
2000 K3500 (6.5 diesel V8)
1988 Mustang (5.0 V8)
1995 F150 (5.0 V8)
1988 LSC (5.0 V8)
1983 Camaro (350 V8, swapped)
1975 LUV (327 V8, swapped)
1988 Cougar (5.0 V8)
I think thats it for V8s.
5.7 in the Roadmaster.
5.7 Chevy in the boat.
These aren't V8s, but they are iron.
Supercharged 3.8 in the T-bird.
And a couple of 3.4s in the wife's van and the daughters Camaro.
The only Japanese stuff I have are a couple of rotaries in the Abomination and the RX-7
I'm kind of shocked by how many people have never owned a v8 or owned just one.
I don't currently have one, the last one was a '97 Silverado(350) proceeded by
'96 Impala SS(LT1 350)
'77 Monte Carlo(305)
'98 Ram(318)
'86 GMC Sierra(350)
'76 Cutlass(350 olds)
'80 Bonneville(301)
'64 Electra 225(401 nail head?)
'86 Trans am(305)
'79 Trans am(403 olds)
'77 Trans am(400)
And my first car was a '80 Trans am (301)
GM LS1 in my Corvette.
My first V8, and my last.
I don't have any desire to own a car that big again.
Currently:
66 Mustang W/ 69 302
67 Camaro 350
70 Firebird 400
70 Wildcat 455
81 Malibu getting 357
84 Suburban 454
00 F-350 7.3

Funny I've been thinking about getting another big car like that duece and a quarter again. Only maybe somthing from the early seventies and mopar. That Buick was longer than my dads full size conversion van.
Loves me some big car.
Current inventory... 318 in the Valiant
383 in the 300
413 in the New Yorker None of the above runs at the moment though...
413 on a stand, it does run
another 383 bare block and heads with a forged 440 crank sitting next to it ready to be machined so it'll drop in. (for the Valiant )
360 runner in the Voyager
6.0 in the GMC Van

iron 302 in the 'Sploder, 4.6L 'luminum block in the Stang..... owned a 70 Impala with a 4bbl 350, and a F100 with a 390, but both are long gone.
